Meet the Trust at the Age Friendly Hertfordshire event on Monday 30th September at the Eric Morecambe Centre from 12 noon until 3pm.

This event coincides with International Older Person’s Day on 1st October.

The Trust will have a stand packed with useful information about how to get a grant from the Trust. We can help residents living anywhere in St Albans district, who are aged 60+ and on a low income and have limited savings. We can help by providing all sorts of FREE items; kitchen appliances, carpeting, mobility items, reclining chairs, beds, furniture, glasses, payment towards funeral costs and much more.

We’ll also have a booklets focussed on help with anything from bereavement and benefits, through to looking after yourself in colder weather.

We know everyone is interested in the Winter Fuel Payment, so we’ll have lots on information about how to apply for Pension Credit, which is the main benefit to access the Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2024.

There’s a chance to try all sorts of activities, including those specially designed for those with Parkinsons’. There will also be talks and workshops focussed on living longer, better.
