Grants for Groups
Charities and community groups that support older people living within the St Albans District can apply for a grant from the Trust. Before completing an application form please contact the Trust for an informal chat.
How much can we apply for?
Grants are usually for projects or items worth around £500 – £5000.
What can the Trust fund?
Grants are usually given to fund projects or activities, for example Christmas parties, art materials, running costs, hall hire. The Trust however is open to funding a range of items.
What does the Trust need to know about our community group?
We have a standard application form which you need to complete. We may also ask supplementary questions. We are very interested in the people you support, in particular why they are in need, hardship or distress. Your financial situation is important too, including an up-to-date reserves position.
Deadlines and time to make a decision?
There are no application deadlines: the Trust accepts applications all year round. The Trustees can generally make a decision within 7-10 days, if all information is provided.
